We offer no-charge diagnosis while-you-wait. This saves our customers a lot of money. So often, people come to
us thinking they have a transmission problem when they don't. Why risk a wrong diagnosis when getting it right
from the experts is free?
The most frequently asked question is "How much does it cost to rebuild my transmission?", or "What
is the price of a rebuilt automatic transmission?". Each brand and type has a different cost, and at the risk
of sounding like a broken record, many transmissions don't need a complete rebuild. You might well be pricing a
rebuild when all you need is a clutch adjustment, a computer chip reprogram, or a new vacuum switch. Please, give
us a call before you decide you need a new transmission.
If you do need automatic transmission work, our prices are extremely reasonable, the quality of our work is the
highest, and our turnaround time surprises everyone except our repeat customers. An independent survey was taken
of a random selection of 100 of our customers over the past year. The result was a 99.9% satisfaction rate. (The
one person who said he wouldn't come back was satisfied with our work but had moved out of state and said he would
use someone local if he needed more work).
A common reason for a transmission to need rebuilding is caused by towing heavy loads. A word to the wise: get
yourself a transmission cooler. Transmissions are normally cooled by tubes inside your radiator. When the temperature
rises from the extra load, neither the engine or the transmission are cooled properly because the radiator was
not designed to handle the extra cooling requirement. It really does take an external cooler to make up for the
additional heat caused by towing.
If you drive a manual transmission, yes, we
have rebuilt manual transmissions too.
If you drive a stick shift car, you will need a clutch sooner or later. We with every clutch job, we machine the
flywheel - most clutch jobs are done in 1 day. We use OEM or better parts.
